The Willow Blanket

• made with 100% Canadian wool (50% Sheepishly Me wool)
• soft cream base colour with one dark green stripe, one black stripe on each end
• wool washed, spun in Canada 🇨🇦
• wool blanket woven in USA 🇺🇸
• wool cut, sewn and packaged in Canada 🇨🇦

Before First Use

• Unfold and air out your blanket for a few hours before use. A faint natural, lanolin-like scent is normal and will fade.
• A small amount of fibre shedding in the first few uses is normal for natural wool and will settle with light shake.

Washing Instructions - Hand wash cold, or dry clean.

• Use a wool-safe or pH-neutral detergent. Avoid regular laundry detergent, bleach, and fabric softener.
• Soak gently and press out water. Do not wring, twist, or scrub.
• If machine washing is unavoidable, use a wool cycle and cold water; expect some felting risk.
• Never use hot water. Heat and agitation cause wool to shrink and felt permanently.

Drying

• Lay flat on a clean surface, away from direct sun and heat sources. Reshape gently while damp.
• Do not tumble dry, wring, or hang, as this can distort or stretch the weave.
• Allow to dry fully before use or storage; wool can take longer than cotton to dry.

Everyday Care

• Air outside regularly. Wool is naturally self-cleaning and odour-resistant with fresh air alone.
• Brush lightly with a soft-bristle brush to manage pilling; small pills can also be trimmed carefully with scissors.
• Spot clean small marks with a damp cloth and a touch of wool-safe detergent; avoid rubbing the fibre.

Storage

• Air out fully and inspect before long-term storage. Never store wool while damp or soiled.
• Fold loosely and store in a breathable cotton bag, not sealed plastic.
• Use cedar blocks or lavender sachets to deter moths; avoid mothballs, which can leave an odour.
• Check stored blankets periodically and refold along different lines to avoid permanent creasing.

If your order is confirmed as lost in transit by the shipping carrier, we will not be able to ship a replacement product. Instead, customers will be eligible for a refund of the purchase price of the lost item.
